Hunger

The dude on the top right is Buddhia Singh. He just entered the Limca Book of Records by covering a distance of 65 km in 7.02 hours even though he failed to complete the targeted 70 km. He was sold to a rag seller by his mother for Rs500 and he found Biranchi Das, his coach while he was picking some bottles in him office compound. He rescued the child frm starvation and made him a marathon runner.
Now there is a lot of fuss around him. Human rights grps, politicians, doctors r all against his running. They say that it’s inhuman of his coach to make him do and that the child is suffering frm many diseases cause of this running. Now they have made sure that he won’t run any marathons. There r people whom support his running also.
I believe if he wants to run let him run. U can’t say to a 4 year old not to run. The child is running by his own will and in a free country like India only his guardian can stop him frm doing so as long as he is not creating any trouble 4 others. Even if he is suffering frm many diseases cause of him running, I believe that he would have those diseases even if he didn’t run due to malnutrition. At least now he can have sponsors to develop his talents and eat something.
Malnutrition is a very important problem in India. India is 1 of the wrlds largest food producers in the wrd. So its not like v don’t have any food so people r not getting it. In fact v r wasting food. The govt has set up many schemas so that the food reaches the needed, but due to corruption and all these food wont reach to its proper destination.
Private companies as well as the general public can do a lot to irradicate malnutrition. For example abt a week before the xpirary date of the food stuffs in the shops the respective companies collect their products (if it doesn’t happen now then they should start doing it). Instead of throwing out these products they could just give it to the children who don’t get any food or give it to some agency to do so. Imagine the amount of food got just by collecting food prds just before they being xpired. Instead of throwing out the left overs frm hotels and homes they could give it some some oganisation which in turn will give it to the needy.
What normal citizens can do is that at least 1's in a month give food to at least a family who needs it or just find some agency or organization that will do so. Sponsor 1 days meal to a family. That meal wont even as much as v spent 4 1 of our meals or may be even not as much as v spent 4 snacks.
The govt can do a lot more to irradicate malnutrition. Ton’s of food materials r being decayed in govt stores. Instead of just letting this food go to waste they can just take it and give to the needed. If the govt feels that they don’t have the resources to do so all they have to do is just ask any big company and they will do it 4 them very haply. Instead of giving reservations to sc/st etc every 1 will be very happy if the govt gave reservations 4 these people who don’t have enough money to have 1 meal a day.
The problem with us Indians is that v talk too much and never act. V feel strongly abt many things and do nothing abt it. I was really happy when i saw medical students organizing ant reservation rallies. Don’t know what the govt is gonna do if more students join. Nothing is impossible if all of us want to make a change. V all should take some steps so that the people who r not getting 1 meal a day get what they deserve. V can do a lot of innovative things to eleminate poverty in India. make sure that all ours brains r used to the full. Food is something which every human being has the rite to get and v must ensure that every 1 gets what they deserve
